SANTANA Holiday Resort launched the Passport project last December with the goal of promoting tourism on the lower South Coast.
The 35-page booklet contains the names of 34 local businesses, including restaurants, golf courses, spas, car washes and attorneys. Each of the local business partners offer something extra to the Passport holders.
Jannie Loots, general manager of Santana Holiday Resort in Margate said: “Clients will receive substantial discounts at Santana as well as our club member offers on restaurants, pubs, car wash, music stores and game resorts.
This encourages holidaymakers and locals to make use of our local facilities throughout the year.
Each time a family uses any of the 34 tourist facilities, they will receive a stamp on the specific page belonging to the facility. Each stamp entitles the passport holder to a discount.
Santana gives a 15% discount with the first stamp, 20% with the second stamp and 25% discount with the third, which is a considerable amount off an accommodation bill.
“This arrangement is an excellent opportunity for retired and working people from the Durban area to take a trip to Margate to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life,” says Loots.
Five thousand copies of the booklet are still available at R150 each and can be obtained from Santana Holiday Resort in Margate.
After 10 stamps Passport holders stand a chance of winning R2,500 (every three months). After 25 stamps Passport holders stand a chance of winning R5,000.
If you wish to participate in the draws, all you have to do is send the number printed on the inside of the booklet to the reception desk at Santana Holiday Resort.
